The Main Causes of Premature Skin Aging

Aging is a privilege, but as you get older, inevitable changes occur in both your inner body and outer appearance. In terms of appearance, the older a person gets, the more fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots and sagging skin there is. There are several ways to slow it down and prevent it from spinning too far, resulting in premature signs of aging.

When these aging-related changes occur earlier than they should, it is called premature aging. These signs are discoloration, rough texture, dullness, sagging skin, thinning skin and wrinkles.
To prevent premature aging, it is important to avoid causes that lead to reduced structural integrity of your skin. Some causes are more obvious — such as spending too much time in hot sunlight without adequate protection — while others are much more hidden.

Eating Lots of Junk Food
It’s important to take care of your body from the inside out, which means drinking enough water every day and eating foods that fuel and nourish your organs.
Consuming a poor diet is the cause of aging. This includes eating a lot of processed, chemical-laden, sugary foods. Food is the foundation and support of your existence, and it is the primary way you obtain the nutrients necessary for growth and survival. It has been shown that poor diet is an important cause of premature skin aging.

Sleep Deprivation
Surely you have heard the phrase “put your beauty to sleep” many times. These devices aren’t just an old wives’ tale; science tells you that getting a good night’s sleep can have a direct impact on your appearance.
Not only do you tend to look “rough” due to not getting enough sleep at night, but chronic lack of sleep can make you age from the inside out, it has been proven to have a negative impact on your body, which in turn can affect your skin cells. It also prevents your body from doing important work that it does while you sleep, including skin cell turnover and collagen production.

Extreme Diets And Rapid Weight Loss
In addition to fueling your body with the right types of food, it’s also important to make sure you eat sufficient amounts.
Extreme diets not only have a detrimental effect on your body and harm your well-being, but they can also cause you to lose so much weight that your skin can’t keep up.

Rapid loss of volume can cause premature aging by ‘deflate’ your face and body, thereby causing a decrease in collagen and elasticity and skin laxity. It’s always better to lose weight slowly over time so that your skin and collagen production can keep up with the pace of weight loss.

Not Using Sunscreen When It’s Cloudy or You’re Indoors
We’re sure you’re pretty good at slathering on sunscreen before going to the beach or anytime you plan to spend a lot of time outdoors. Did you know that sunscreen is a necessity even when you are indoors or on cloudy days? The sun’s UV rays still shine through the windows and clouds, and are the biggest cause of premature aging.
Sun damage to the skin is the cause of the majority of age-related changes in the skin. This mainly occurs in people who have a history of prolonged and repeated exposure to UV radiation, especially in people with fair skin.
