Considering that 80% of car-buying decisions are influenced by female, manufacturers should take note — there is a very fine line between appealing to women and patronising them.

buying a car

Now that you know that pink cars with pastel seat covers and headrests designed to accommodate ponytails won’t hit the mark, what do female want in cars?

Female want the same things everybody wants in a autos— durability and reliability. Research indicate that when purchase a car, safety is of primary necessary to a woman followed by vehicle performance and economy — both in the price, fuel efficiency and running expenses. Female also feel powerful about how their cars affect the environment.

A new research conducted by BuyaCar.co.uk discover that female approach car buying with a more practical head than male, who tend to care more about the image of the cars they pick up. It also discover while male have made black their first colour of option recently, female continue to select white first.

The car industry aware a lot about you. They know female are more rational, and more likely to stick to a budget. They know male are more emotional and spend more. Older women are more skeptical due to wisdom comes with age.

Efficiency and Safety

The most necessary attributes for a automotive are fuel efficiency; air bags all around; visibility (some car designs block lot of things around); air conditioning; tight steering and responsive acceleration; ABS; a place for purse (not the passenger or rear seats); cupholders; rear view defrost; and cruise control. Convenience

I like clothes hooks in the cargo field so that dry cleaning won’t be next to children; a center console box large enough for a purse; visor mirrors on both sides in the front; good visibility; hooks for purses or jackets on the side of the driver’s seat; easy to fold or lift back seats; low lift-over at the rear of a sedan or wagon; fold-flat seats, front to back so you can carry long items without lashing them to the roof; rear cupholders in armrests; light colored but easy-to-clean seat fabrics.

Style and Maintenance

The number one “thing” would be a great maintenance track record; when it does require a help, you don’t have to take apart half the car to get a light bulb; I also don’t want to drive anything that looks frumpy. I wouldn’t purchase a sports car due to that isn’t the season of life I’m in, but I will go to great lengths to drive anything other than a minivan. I can’t help but be wowed with the details of the car like lots of cupholders; organizational helps; and the latest technology.
