How to Shave Your Face Correctly as A Woman
The following are facial shaving tips for women to help you shave comfortably and safely, reducing the chance of skin irritation, or razor burn.

1. Wash your face before shaving
Wash your face to remove any dirt or makeup before shaving to prevent skin irritation and infection if you get scratched by a razor blade.

2. Exfoliate to lift dead skin
Exfoliation prevents ingrown hairs by removing dead skin cells that may prevent cut hair from penetrating the surface of your skin. Use a gentle scrub or exfoliating mitt to remove loose hairs and dead skin around the areas of your face that will be shaved.

3. Moisturize your skin
Soak your face in warm water or hold a warm, damp washcloth against your facial skin for about 3 minutes before you shave. Hydrating the skin helps soften hair follicles and allows women to shave their faces more easily.

4. Apply shaving gel
Shaving gel maintains moisture and helps the razor for women’s facial shaving glide more easily across the skin on your face. Applying shaving gel also shows where you’ve already shaved so you don’t have to re-shave an area and cause skin irritation.

5. Shave with a steady strokes
The best women’s face shaving tip is to gently press your razor blade at a 45 degree angle. Shave slowly with short, steady strokes in the direction of hair growth to prevent skin irritation.

6. Moisturize after you shave
After you shave, apply moisturizing lotion or oil, preferably alcohol-free, and wait before applying any makeup or face cream.
